An African elephant's trunk is incredible dexterous. There are 17 muscles in a trunk which are made up of up to 150,000 muscle fascicles. Dust bathing to cool down, they pick up the fine dust with their trunks and throw it over themselves. It made for an extremely dramatic moment with a strong back light just as the sun was setting.
