Amphibians around the world are threatened by climate change, habitat destruction, poaching and disease accelerated by anthropogenic causes. All they can do is just to hang on and cling to life as they are heading towards extinction. This particular Mossy Bush Frog was photographed in Kinabalu National Park. It hopped towards the camera but aborted at the last minute, clinging on it its perch with just a single toe tip. A reflection on the struggles that many of its kin share.
